Digital Loans

MLOL Media Library Online is the first online platform of public and academic libraries for digital loans.

In MLOL, some course books from recent academic years are also available for loan.

• How many loans can I get and for how long?

Each user has 4 loans available per month, which can also be simultaneous, and the duration of the loan is 15 days.

• How can I seach for and borrow e-books?

MLOL is integrated in BiblioUPO, the online catalogue of the University Library System.

You can search for e-books by title and / or author in 2 ways:

• through BiblioUPO: log on to MyBiblio with your University credentials, fill in the search field of the catalogue after ticking 'All resources', and then borrow any works found

• directly from the  MLOL portal: at the bottom of the BiblioUPO home page, in the 'Digital Library' section, click on the button with the MLOL logo and enter your University computer credentials

Some ebooks can only be found through this type of direct access to the portal.

Rete Indaco is a collection of ebooks and other multimedia material either in subscription or free access form.

There are 3 types of e-book you can access with this platform:

• “commercial” e-books protected by DRM Adobe, which may be loaned for 14 days
• Pdf format e-books, not subject to restrictions and therefore freely downloadable without duration limits
• E-books available in streaming, i.e., on-line by internet connection, which do not have limits in terms of time of loan.

ReteIndaco is integrated into BiblioUPO, the online University Library System catalogue.

You can look for e-books by title and/or author in 2 ways:

• through BiblioUPO: log on to MyBiblio with your University credentials, fill in the search field of the catalogue after ticking 'All resources', and then borrow any works found
• directly from the Reteindaco portal: at the bottom of the BiblioUPO home page, in the 'Digital Library' section, click on the button with the ReteIndaco logo and choose the type of resource you are interested in

There are many e-books that are part of editorial packages or digital collections.

In this case, you can directly access the online version without downloading the book.

However, you must log in from a computer connected to the University network or follow the instructions for external access to electronic resources on the Digital Library page (Accesso dall'esterno alle risorse elettroniche)
