IT Rooms
Our department has computer rooms that are open from 8am to 6pm, Monday to Friday (except when booked for classes). To access the computers in the laboratories, it is necessary to log in with your university credentials.
At Palazzo Borsalino as well as at the other University structures, network printers are available to use as part of the Printing Service for students: see information on this page.
BLU IT Lab
The BLU computer lab is located on the second floor of Palazzo Borsalino and is open to all students enrolled in DIGSPES: 46 computers are available, using a Windows suite with internet access. Microsoft Office, LibreOffice, Stata, R Studio software are installed on each PC.
The laboratory regulations state that students can use computers for the following didactic activities:
- exercises, thesis writing and final tests

AL.EX – Laboratory of Teaching and Experimental Economics
AL.EX This is located on the second floor of Palazzo Borsalino and has 25 personal computers (24 for students, one for the teacher) connected to the network and 'open' internet, with the Windows 7 operating system. It is a computer science laboratory, destined to teaching and research activities. The laboratory is open on request of teachers for lessons, computer skill examinations, or Stata exercises; or by researchers who plan activities that involve the use of computers. The teacher carries out the lesson using the Net Support School software, which allows the presentation of the lesson directly on the screens of students. In AL.EX, the computers are installed with the software necessary for all departmental teaching (Microsoft Office, LibreOffice, Stata, R Studio); further software can be installed upon request by the teacher.
LIP Laboratory
The First Floor Laboratory has 16 personal computers: it is located on the first floor of Palazzo Borsalino and is available upon reservation by teachers for lessons and computer-based exams. Unlike the other two computer labs, LIP has a fixed system with video projector.
Microsoft Office, LibreOffice, Stata, R Studio software are installed on each PC.
LAB0 Laboratory for PIM, SOSTA and CINECA polling station
