New students are required to take an initial skills assessment test.
The test is MANDATORY in order to evaluate the initial level of preparation and does not affect enrollment in the program.
Students can choose to take the test on one of the following dates:
-
Friday, October 10, 2025, at 1:30 PM, Aula Magna, Uni-Astiss Rita Levi Montalcini University Center, Asti
-
Friday, October 17, 2025, at 1:30 PM, Aula Magna, Uni-Astiss Rita Levi Montalcini University Center, Asti
To participate in the test, students must bring a valid ID.
If the test is not passed, students must attend a 25-hour remedial course to complete the so-called Additional Educational Requirements (OFA). The schedule of the remedial course will be announced later.
The remedial course is designed to provide proper linguistic education and aims to equip students with the methodological tools necessary to strengthen and develop essential skills for their academic program and, more generally, for better oral and written comprehension and communication.
At the end of the remedial course, a further assessment will be held: if the result is still negative, students will be prevented from taking exams from the second year onward. Students may retake the test and attend the course again the following year until the gaps are addressed.
On your electronic student record, starting from January, you will find the exam Italian Language Proficiency Test (0 ECTS, code P1114). You must register the successful completion of the test by booking it through the regular exam registration system.
Students who have already completed a university degree or are transferring from another institution, or in case of withdrawal, forfeiture, or transfer, are exempt from the test.
No English Placement Test is required for this program.
